TGM Olympiad Host Meeting Number 1: Tasking

Hello Clark and Justin,

These are the proposed committees and tasking for the Olympics that we need to focus on. Please let me know what you think. Also please let me know which one youd like to focus on😊😊. If you think we should invite more peeps as part of the official host, please also suggest peeps we can invite yes😊😊😊

1. Committee on Awards

Functions

1.1 Create certificates for participants and winners

1.2 Send out certificates to winners and participants

2. Committee on Arena Creation

2. 1 create arena at specified time frame (based on agreed time schedule)

2.2 challege all tgm teams to the arena

2.3 remind team captains by posting a note in the mainclub about the arena start

3. Committee on Result Updates

3.1 Create google form (onlinr excel)

3.2 Compile and update result to serve as country scoreboard

Hi Jane, I would have no problem doing Arena Creation and all it's duties. I could also help by sending out certificates, but I have no software to handle certificate creation.  Also no excel experience.

Hi Jane. Hope you had a good day I would like it alot if I can make the arenas, but My team have a problem. Because China has a firewall around it, we won't be able to use google or microsoft. what should i do?

Hello Clark and Justin! Thank you so much for your responses! Our tasking will be:

1) Jane (Design and creation of news)

2) Clark creation of multiclub tournaments and sending certificate 

3) Updating of team and individual score through online form (i will create the form just updating help) requesting this for Justin yes

As for Justin's question, the only alternative way to access chess.com where it is blocked is by using vpn. There are free online vpns which are available hopefully team China can join the tourneys soon yes
