The best robot yet?

Very, very cool. 

I wouldn't say that it's the best one yet (even in its class), but it's certainly a good one. For a similar one, search for the US army's robot pack dog. For more advanced ones, search for breakdancing humanoids or Nikko "self-aware" robot, one that can recognize itself in a mirrior. Also, see Sicco Millenia (sp?).

There are a lot of really advanced ones and once you see a new one you've probably seen a better one! One of my personal favorites is built by Kawada Industries, who made an extremely advanced adult humanoid.

strangequark, this is the small version of the US army's pack dog, from the same project. The researchers named this one "little dog" and the big one "big dog". The large one is also very impressive, but a little less elegant. . I don't think any of the bipeds I have seen are as impressive at this little beast, with its extremely advanced abilities to traverse unknown terrain.

Hmm I didn't know they were related but I suppose that would make sense. Biomimicry has certainly taken off!
