Promoting to King in KOTH doesn't result in KOTH immediately, you have to move to another middle square for KOTH to work.

idk if this is intentional

Perhaps it will take time to register. \(〇_o)/

It is possible all bots are busy in other games.

It's also possible that none of them are in games and this applies to every type of Inviteable Bot

Rules question. Is it OK for high rated players to play in lower (example-2100 vs 1500s) games?

Not if they are restricted to ratings they don't have. For example, a 2000 player could compete in a 1800+ but not a 1500-1900.

HSCCCB

I know you can (in non-rating limited games), but I wonder if high rated players should have that option in the first place. Should say, a 2200 teams or ffa player be able to join a 1500+ non-rating limited cue?

I don't see why not. ¯\(°_o)/¯

Note: they would not gain much rating as their opponents would all be lower rated.

HSCCCB

I assume its legal.

The problem is, the good player is likely to beat the bad players. I don't think its good for 1500 ffa or team players to go in, play their first game, and get demolished becuase they went up against a couple hundred points stronger player. I'm sure it hurts the game. I'm confident players are less likely to continue playing if their first game is a blowout lose vs. a competitive game or a win. The former I'm sure, happens somewhat often, I'd guess. To be clear, I don't know that for certain, but I think that losing badly your first game makes you less likely to continue playing, which happens sometime because high rated players can play most rating ranges.

To be honest I probably would've quit Hyperbullet on my first day if I didn't win a lot of the games... all of my first few games were against @grable in WFT II

AdamRaichu

That's the reason why games can be closed rating.

HSCCCB

as example: https://www.chess.com/4-player-chess?g=8729865-82

HSCCCB

Simply: I think new players are more likely to stay if they play people of their own strength than verse stronger players.

I think that could be statistically tested.

new players don't know to make it closed rating. It should automatically be closed rating. I'm confident that it is worse for the vast majority of new players to play with people much better than them at first.

i have no idea what happened, but after blue lost on time, the notation board said "game over, insufficient material", but my clock was still going. I cannot move, i tried moving, but it wouldnt let me.

then, when i ran out of time, I lost the game!
weird glitch, ctrl + shift + j shows no errors, which means it's a glitch not a bug, but still cost a game....

I have a few questions: why didn't the game automatically end?

Why couldn't I move?

Would I get a refund at the very least for a loss-turned win?

Would I get banned for quitted and rejoining for something important?

Would diplomacy have any rights for chat-banned players?

Thanks!

this is a glitch

i made a fuss about t about 2 months ago

no refund xD

lol I figured out why I couldn't post a new topic (well the chess.com tech support figured it out.) I feel pretty stupid but I'll post it here in case anyone else has the same problem. It's not a bug- You need to join the forum first. Click "4 Player Chess >" and then click "join"

lol I could've told you that if you told me you hadn't joined. 🤣

so they ignore the glitch without fixing it?

then tell them to lock this thread, because it's useless

them not giving back for something that wasn't the players fault shows that they don't care about the server, they don't care about the bugs, they don't care how people's playing quality is.

they don't have an excuse this time. they KNOW it was 100% a glitch because auto-draw did NOT happen.

they also aren't fixing the 1-check poop, which is far worse than this
