"Ugh, should I answer it?" He thought. This always happens. Alexander was not expecting any-one tonight. Alexander silently crept to the wooden door...hugging the wall while doing this, and quietly looking through the glass window. "ACK!" Yells Alexander as he flies backwards onto the floor! There was a shadowy figure looking right back at him!
The chess game.

The knock came as no surprise...it was heavy and persistant. Alexander had not wanted to be disturbed but his curiosity was too much...he slid the chain on the door and twisted the dead bolts. Slowly and deliberately he pulled the door open, keeping his eyes focused on the gap and blinking at the shardes of light that were introduced from the ceiling lights of the hall. He peaked out cautiously at first but as he looked more he was confused....there was no-onethere. Left and right of his door all he could see was the corridor extending to the end of the building. As Alexander's focus came to settle centrally again he let out a small sigh and at the same time his head fell forwards and his eyes came to focus on a little brown paper package that had been left in the middle of his doorway...
Have you ever wondered what it's like to play a chess tournament at the highest level? This is what Alexander mused as he set out his pieces on his practice board. The light was fading in his appartment and he crossed the mosaic floor to switch on the lights; all the time contemplating which opening move to make.
