I just realized recently that the discipleship of the heart must precedes other many activities about discpleship.
I have seen many Christians who undergo different seminars and teachings about discipleship, but because their heart is not really discipled, they are among the liabilities of the church. They are knowledgeable on how to witness and help other grow in their faith, but yet they are not practicing what they have learned. Many of them are professionals and have good formal education, but are not helping in fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus.
Moreover, I saw many Christians also who have very little education, most of them are undergraduates, some of them did not even finished elementary level, but are being used by God mightily in winning more souls for Christ. Why? Because their hearts are one with the heart of God. They have the heart of a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
Please do not get me wrong. I am not an anti-education. I believe education is very important. But in Christianity, the heart must be educated first. I have seen many educated persons claiming to be Christians also but are arrogant, sarcastic and boastful. They have a heart problem.
Therefore, I want to emphasize to all disciplers, give importance to the discipleship of the heart. The discipleship of the heart must precedes all skills and knowledge trainings!
