12 points are for amazon CAPTURES.

You seemingly dont get it, can you checkmate while capturing a piece? Yes

And there's Ox6, Amazon 12x6=72, three kings mate with +40 rule is 40x3=120, triple check with pieces has exchange value below 7 is +20. Sum up 72+120+20=212. Note that I'm not sure whether Ox is taken into account if capture opp with mate, don't remember.

The most pts can get in one go in takeover comes with resignation and Capture the king variant. A board full of Amazon, cover all square, only leave 4 for 4 kings, 2 dead, then one just resign and the other grabs all. No way this could happen though but still a good example to look at.

In order to do that, we need pieces which amazon cannot move like them. An alibaba for instance, capture an amazon, and checkmate three kings, amazon cannot jump over blockage, but alibaba can.
