The FIRST rule in free for all is to show good sportsmanship and to NOT BE MAD ABOUT LOSING A GAME.
It's more of an opinion.
The first rule in Free-for-all is make it to the Leaderboard, then quit playing.

Well, I can at least claim to have "seen" the leaderboard now, rofl. That's about as close as I will probably get to it. 
Help the person opposite.
If you do not help the person opposite and he goes down you are left piggy in the middle and be ganged up on.
See who he attacking and join in, if he being attacked stall the attacker, and just hope opposite player is sensible enough to know the above rule.
