Why is it called the Immortal game?

It is one of the most beautiful games registered.

Black either didn't see the severity of white's attack, or thought a win was possible but erred on time available to build it.

this game wasnt played with time

that was on the romantic times of chess right?

I was referring to time as in number of moves to effect the attack, before white could mate.
