Throughout my time as a bears fan i never saw them make big moves in free agency and have been fed up with the coaching.

But In the past two years they've got; cutler, mike martz, mike tice, marinelli, julius peppers, and chester tayler just to name a few acquisitions. I guess this is what happens when Lovie and Angelo are in trouble of losing their jobs.

This is great news and im excited about this upcoming year!! GO BEARS!!

what do you guys think?

I love Julius Peppers but I must confess I don't know much about chester taylor, can you give me the scoop on him?

Chester Taylor was the main man before AP was drafted by the vikings. In 2006 when he was getting the carries he went for 1,216 with a 4 yrd per carry average. Obviously the bear wont ask him to carry the load. but he is very capable. He is great on 3rd down blocking and catching out of the backfield. He's 5-11 213 pounds and will be a GREAT compliment with forte

OHHH MY GOD!!!!!! I JUST FOUND OUT!!!! THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!! If they don´t go far this year then I don´t know what more they could do.   This crew just can´t go wrong again.  Now there are NO excuses.  Bear Down for an exciting year.  I want the whole NFL to bow down to them and finally show some respect.

i couldn't agree more with the first guy.  They have done alot in the last two years and i am also very excited to see an upcoming bears season.  This has only happened in my life a few times.  About as often as Haley's comet.

I think the best way to describe Chester Taylor was done by Lance Briggs when he said, " I am glad he is on our team he sure did pick up alot of my blitzes over the years

hate to rain on the parade, but peppers is getiing up in age, even though i do think he is a great addition.  But, we still dont have a great corner, Tillmen deserves respect but is not a shut-down corner....Vasher, sorry, but washed up, bowman---young, potential, but needs work.  our safeties arnt all that, even though steltz and afalava are ok, payne and manning are situational players, and i dont know about corey gram.  basically, we have a good line, great LB tandem if they all stay healthy, but the secondary is average at best.  Offensively, we have a QB who could be great but needs confidence back and some wide recievers.  Sorry, but Hester is a 2 probably 3 receiver, Aromashadu looks like a #2 rec.,w/ size and hands to be a talent if used, and no #1 rec. running backs look good, TEs are talented but useless in new offense skeem, and OL is ok.  I am just trying to say dont expect much, dont know the schedule or vikings situation but guessing 9-7 or 10-6 with a wild card chance depend on nfc rec.  Sorry for long post:-)

Yeah Peppers is 30 but he is still a dominant. He will make the entire D line better which will make the secondary better.

You don't need 22 all-stars to have a team that goes deep into the playoffs.

As for Cutler he finally doesnt have Ron Tuner drawning up the plays. He will be better in a Martz system.

Finally on to WR, I'm absolutly sick off people thinking we don't have good receivers. As I remeber last year everyone said we needed to address that postion but it turned out to be one of our deepest and strongest. With Knox, Bennett, Hester, Aromashadu, and Iglesias they all good and getting better.

As actual fans have noticed the 2006 blue man group (seattle seahawks) and just as of this year the saints got it done with there group of recievers. Cutler will get the ball spread all over the place.

BEARS FANS BE EXCITED!!!!!

I didn't know about these moves, but I am actually excited about them.  What was most worrisome that I saw last year was a bad O-line.  That cause a lot of pressure on Cutler, which could account for some of those interceptions and incompletions.  The defense having its way with our O-line was also why Forte wasn't as good as he was his rookie year, because, while he's not AP, he's no sloutch and should get 1000 yards a year.    I also think that our WR are gold, they can only get better with a few years, and out defense was just average.  I say take care of offense first, because if out defense has less time on the field, they'll do better. If I'm wrong, let me know, but that's what I saw.

I really like cutler, but hecan't throw the ball when it matters, hes never bin in a playoff game.  his last season in denver he disapeared down the strech, just when they needed him to make the playoffs. the only games hes good are thoes that don't matter.  like the last 2 of last season for example.

prove me wrong, i hope he doesSmile

there OL sucks too its too young, give it a couple more years and it'll be great, they also need a #1 recever, they got lots of 2s and 3s but no #1
