The only good Lavahound deck in the current meta!

Lava hound is one of the best win conditions in the game but due to a shift in the meta and other cards like Drill, RG, Mortar, and E-Giant being really good, LavaLoon has fallen off at top ladder. It still is good in mid-ladder but the new best lava hound deck (which was used in the top 5 in the world for 3 seasons in a row) is: Lava hound, Miner, Flying Machine, Skeleton King, Inferno Dragon, Skeleton Dragons, Tombstone, Arrows.

Lava Hound is not really one of the best win conditions, but it's kinda always there.

And Lava seems to counter every deck that doesn't necessarily have a counter.

I honestly think Lava Loon is a bit better than this deck against E-Giant Mirror.

Yeah that's true.

I actually disagree. With my experience from playing lava I think that lava miner does better because of the SK and Inferno dragon.

SpeedyCyclone

I mean flying machine not inferno.

Also everyone knows classic lava loon is weak against ground. but now we have miner, SK, tombstone. And for air: Flying Machine, Inferno dragon, skelly drags.

That's true, I was just thinking Inferno Dragon like Skeleton Dragons can be nadoed into the E-giant and they are no longer very effective. It's only the tombstone that's making Lava Miner have a decent matchup against Egiant.

And Balloon is quite hard to defend with that egiant deck.

Thats, why you bait the tornado with skelly, drags on the side and you use a tombstone to pull to the center. then you use flying machine or inferno to finish the egiant or mirror.

Ber-ti689

I know you do that, but normal Lava loon basically has that defense as well it's just one answer. But balloon becomes really hard to defend without tornado.

lavaloon with mighty miner is better than that deck

and that deck is better with mega minion instead of inferno dragon

Ber-ti689

Ok

Lava loon with mighty miner is weak against drill, mortar, and e-giant though. This deck is more versatile. This deck has 3 ground troops and 3 air troops so it is way better on defense against cycle decks, unlike lava loon.

yuxuanyang

lava loon is like 90-10 agianst egiant

that deck is 0-100 against egiant

SpeedyCyclone

How?? When I faced e-giant in a classic challenge I always won with this deck

yuxuanyang

all they have to do is egiant opposite when you lava, and then go mirror egiant nado on your support troops and take out your tower

SpeedyCyclone

First e-giant I go tombstone+inferno dragon mid. Then when you play the second e-giant my inferno will target the second one so you have to nado and then I play my skelly drags.

Ber-ti689

The lava deck that yux uses gets hard countered by E-Giant.

Right now I'm using an Old School LavaLoon Deck with Miner Skeleton Dragons, Inferno Dragon, Barbarians, Arrows, and Zap.

And it has a like 30-70 matchup against E-Giant.

E-Giant nado is just so annoying

if you put inferno dragon in mid and pull the egiant to mid with tombstone your inferno dragon will get resetted by the egiant

if you don't put the inferno dragon in mid you'll get destroyed by the second egiant

if you put the inferno dragon in mid but tombstone on the side the inferno dragon will get pulled to the side since the egiant got pulled to the side and not able to cover the second egiant, you'll also lose your tower to the first egiant since putting tombstone to the side is ineffective and if they see that they'll just nado your inferno dragon to reset it and you have no defense left for the first egiant

Ber-ti689

It's just very ineffective since tornado makes inferno dragon deal less then a slow hitting skeleton

The inferno dragon has good range. just put the tombstone one tile in the other side of the arena in the middle so that both towers target and then put the inferno dragon right below or above the tombstone. The have to play egiant as soon as they get 8 elixir so your inferno is still on the field so they have to tornado and then you can use skelly drags. if they wait for the inferno to go away and then go e giant then you go skelly king+flying machine far. if they nado then you go skelly drags.

You see the benefit of having 3 air troops and 3 ground troops now?

yuxuanyang

that makes no sense

why do you think you have 26 eliir(lava, inferno dragon, tombstone, skeleton dragons, skeleton king, flying machine) when the opponent only has 18 elixir(egiant mirror tornado)

also putting inferno dragon in the placement you described doesn't even work when you do it in a real match

Ber-ti689

Lava just usually doesn't have a good matchup against E-Giant Mirror
