once again, dashing my ET dreams....
The origin of high energy cosmic rays

A beautiful piece of work has essentially solved the mystery of where these cosmic rays come from. https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/goddard/2016/ace-cosmic-ray
Oh, I hope not!... I was working on a theory
Oh well. I better read it and burst my bubble.

Boy was I WRONG!
I didn't know so much work had been done on cosmic rays, specifically that detailed isotope analysis!
Because Cosmic rays strike the atmosphere at relativistic speeds and decay in a shower of elementary particles, I didn't think such a thing was possible... As I was quickly scanning the article I thinking "this must have been done in outer space".
Yup... That "Advanced composition Explorer" is quite a machine.
"Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) observes particles of solar, interplanetary, interstellar, and galactic origins, spanning the energy range from solar wind ions to galactic cosmic ray nuclei.
