i live in only the warren of search...( a close cousin to the warrant of search ).

That sounds like a good rule, onedeadrabbit... people have been getting dumber ever since the advent of Google. Intellectual contemplation and learning in general need to be preserved.
Does replying to a question with a "electric medium" include quoting a movie in response to hapless_fool's post? I feel the intense urge to do so, but I'm not sure if it's as bad as getting an answer from the internet.
a "reference" ( to another post, url, movie, book, etc.) is of course not a dissallowance of the integrity of this forum. references have been always an integrity to any library or great house.
so a "reference" is not the issue.
the issue is the integrity of the reply. we all learn from what we have read, known in the public square ( and sometimes, admittedly at the salon of miss rosamund off leicester square...but civility does not me allow to name names, ( your lordship )...

I see your point, onedeadrabbit. So it seems I can use references. What I was going to say to hapless_fool was that his quoting of the song confused me. I got the few chess references there were in there (and obviously the whole Alice in Wonderland thing), but what hapless_fool seems to be telling onedeadrabbit through the quoting of the song is to either "follow the white rabbit" or to see "how deep the rabbit hole goes", and I think onedeadrabbit has already accomplished both. I apologize for my geekiness in advance.
