The bigger the board, the more centralized the fleur de lis is. And it only affects the N-check indicator when there are double digit checks left. So if you have 18 checks left on a 14x14 board, you don't be able to see the bottom of the 8. Not a huge deal since you can use context to figure it out, though.

Well I usually use 14x14 boards, and I like to fiddle around with N-Check, usually 50+, to prevent games from going on forever. The old sign was a glow around the piece, and it didn't block it at all.
As per the title, there is a problem with the new royal piece indicator. The indicator used to be a halo in 4pc, now it is a courier sign. The sign blocks the number of checks in N-Check, so we don't know how many checks we still have. Fix this by either making it smaller or changing it.
