The BY setup is not an improvement over new standard as yellows king is also very weak similar to greens king in new standard. Here is an example to demonstrate the bad position of yellows king in BY with the green queen pointing at it.

The BYG setup is better than BY and should reclaim its place back on the main menu in my opinion.

I'm surprised your change of mind, so sudden.

In your graph you are showing that reds are playing very passive it seems.

In this logic that you are presenting, did you consider that yellow is the third to move, and not the last to move?, but it seems to me that the decision of the movements is not being very precise.

we would have to play it to corroborate what you say, when do you dare to make some test games?

I played 5 games and it was enough to draw this conclusion. Here are 2 more examples to show the problems yellow has.

The problem is that yellow cannot defend the diagonal from Blue without getting checked or trading bishops with blue.

BYG is more balanced than BY.

I think yellows only defence is to push the rook pawn on move 3 to block the green queen but then green can take it with the knight as blue has check.

It seems Red has to sac a piece to save yellow. Probably the knight. The question is whether a side has to sac a piece to save their opposite from mate in 5 in the BYG setup... I don't think so

2.y Ni12 Nl9 3.Qj4... and

But Ni12 and yellow is completely fine, that check from blue does nothing.

Have I not shown that yellow is not fine after the queen lands on that square threatening mate and still holding the check in reverse.

Not really, you also played k11 on 3.y but play something else like f12.
