One has every right to be curious when one talks of the Puzzle Battle War in The Tactics Thunder. Yes, we do have a Puzzle Battle WAR and it is a War. Things to note in this is that we use terms such as "Missing in action" and "Dead" to picture this war as a reality. However, we want you to have fun during it even if you are competing against another team you are still friends with them.

In This Post we are going to go over the Puzzle Battle War and its many elements. Here is a summary of what we feature the War has:

  • Voting for leader
  • Pairings creating
  • Bombs
  • Empty spaces
  • Reinforcements

Let's dive in now.

The Tactics Thunder Puzzle Battle War

Format

The TTT's Puzzle Battle War is a team-based competition consisting of two teams that work as an army against the opposing team.

The War takes place in 3 phases.

Phases:

Phase 1: Registration - During this time all who wish to join may register. This phase lasts 3 weeks.

Phase 2: Establishing your Army - During this time  players will receive their team and vote for a captain. All Player will be required to join their team's club. The Reinforcement option will open once this Phase is officially in progress (See 'Reinforcements') This Phase will last 14-20 Days.

Phase 3: The War - This is the main event. The War can last anywhere from 3 rounds to 10 rounds. All Rounds are 7 days each.

Pairing System:

After the Voting ends and each team has a captain Phase 3 begins. This is the beginning of Phase 3 (The War)

All players/Bombs/Empty Spaces of each team are sent to their captains to arrange in any order they wish.

Once both Team captains send their Lineup back to @LegendVerse1, the two lineups will be put together and posted. You could be paired with anybody.

You and your opponent will have 1 week to negotiate, play and then post your results in the results thread. Failure to do so will result in forfeits (see Forfeits)

Those that win the Match are eligible to proceed to the next Round while those that lost are considered 'dead' and can no longer play in the war. They can however cheer their team on as it continues on in the war.

Playing styles:

There are two options for the opponents to play:

1: Single Puzzle Battle match, winner takes all

2: Best of 3 Match, Play 3 Matches and the player that won more takes the win.

Bombs

Bombs are an exclusive feature to the TTT Puzzle Battle War. A feature that simulate warfare to the utmost extent.

Team Captains will be given "Bombs" to place in their player lineup each round. There are two kinds of Bombs:

Handicapping Bombs (HB): When a player is paired with one of these bombs they have been hit, but are not killed, the hit player is eligible for the next Round. However, they are handicapped (Thus the name for these bombs) Instead they must win 2-0 against their opponent. If you chose to play a best of 3 match, you must win two sets of 3 matches while your opponent only needs one win to beat you.

Mortal Bombs (MB): These are the deadly creatures that you must look out for. When hit by an MB one is automatically 'killed' and cannot compete in the war any longer. These Bombs will not be seen very often, but beware when they appear!

Reinforcements

Over the course of the War more players are allowed to join in. Players may join in to whichever team they decide, making the War not only a match up of the players' skill, but of the ability to draft members into your army.

Reinforcements may only enter the war during the "Reinforcement Rounds" which are effectively Rounds 3, 6 and 9

A Google form will be provided once Phase 2 has begun and any and all players on each team are encouraged to recruit their friends into the War.

To become a reinforcement you Must:

  1. Be a part of the TTT

After getting your friends to join both of these clubs they can then sign up as a reinforcement for the team that they prefer.

Note: If you have died earlier in the War you MAY NOT sign up again as a recruit.

Team Captains

As the voted in Captain of the team your job will be to organize lineups each round with strategy and the knowledge of the opposing team captain's mind. With this knowledge you may be able to make ideas on where they will put their strongest players and place bombs on those places.

When a Team Captain in the War is killed, a new vote is taken to elect a new captain to succeed the dead one.

Forfeits

In the event that a forfeit is needed, here are the actions taken:

  • Negotiations threads will be posted each round in which everyone is Required to post and negotiate. If one player tried to negotiate in the Negotiations thread and the other does not reply before the end of the week-long round, the player who negotiated wins the round.
  • If both player negotiated but could not agree/find a time to play then the following choices can be chosen:
    a. Both are eliminated
    b. Rock, Paper, Scissors Match is held with one mediator judge it.
  • If neither player negotiates IN the negotiations thread then both competitors are eliminated
  • Negotiations by Message/Chat cannot be seen by staff and will not be counted as negotiations unless screenshots or other proof of negotiations was posted in the negotiations thread.
  • All decisions made by the staff are final and arguing will get you muted or even banned from further Puzzle Battle Wars

Each Round's pairings are decided the same way. The Captain will be told their remaining members and how many bombs/empty spaces they get and the captain will create their lineup.

Lineups will then be compared and placed together. There will be a news announcement in the TTT
