The Wikipedia challenge

Sort:
Elroch

From the discussion in the group notes, I thought it would be interesting to look at all of the Wikipedia articles relating to the Britannica quiz with a view to finding ways in which they could be improved. Errors would be best, significant omissions (or irrelevant content) would be good, badly edited text would be worthwhile. For convenience, I am providing all of the links.

A trophy (or trophies) will be awarded.

[I have to admit that mostly, I just read this sort of article with the same degree of trust as most scientific publications. If something catches my attention, I may find other material on it and even make edits, though very few relating to astronomy]

Note that the asterisks indicate that if you had asked me who invented the telescope, I wouldn't have known, if you had asked me when the Space Age began I would (shamefully) have been a bit unclear about exactly which year and  I couldn't have told you what a syzygy was (although in 2012 I took a snapshot of what might at a stretch be called one), but I still managed to get those three questions right. Smile
