Thematic Games

Hi everybody, I think it would be a great idea if we had thematic games. By that I mean we challenge other groups to vote or team matches where we use that opening, OR we have a few thematic games amongst us. If you support this idea, then please say so and specify which opening you like. I myself am in the mood for something unorthodox...

Thematic team matches might be fun as well as thematic games amongst us. I'd be for Scandinavian, King's Indian Defense and Queen's gambit.

I enjoy theme games as they provide ways to explore specific openings. I don't much mind whether the openings are traditional (Sicilian Defense or the ones jimthemagic mentioned) or the unusual ones.

Anything goes for me....'twould give me chance to improve my games.

I personally am interested in the Halloween gambit. Is anyone else?

I'll take a Challange from someone to play the Alekhines Defense. Challenger may choose their color.

I like the idea of unrated thematic games among the group, to have a chance to experiment with and learn unfamiliar openings. My standard Ruy Lopez is getting stale. I'll take any challenges for any type of opening.
