This is it guys… I’m deleting my chess.com account, AMA

As the title said, I’m deleting my chess account soon. My chess career was… mediocre to say the best. I didn’t really want to play chess when I was first introduced to it but my mom made me. That was 4 years ago. Chess is kinda also affecting my life, I can’t lose a game without raging, but all this stimulation I get from this game is making me play, but I haven’t played in months already. 

Don’t get me wrong, I spend a ton of time on screens a lot, I use Reddit and Discord, as well as YouTube and TikTok. I don’t really used discord at all, in fact I’m even thinking about deleting my account there. And I barley use TikTok anymore, which was a great choice as while all my friends doomscroll for hours here, I’m not using it, which was an excellent choice, as I’m not caught up in doomscrolling as much and affecting my attention span, so I think deleting my Chess.com account will bring the same boon to my life. 

So yeah, in a day or two I’ll delete my account and quit chess for good, AMA.

Nah I don’t really like chess like how much I did in 2023. Plus I really don’t like how my Elo is keeping me stressed

But I believe that the Elo system is kinda rigged, if I lose I lose like 9 points, but if I win I get 9. This keeps me stressed other than excited.
