Thoughts on Sandbagging?

Should I allow it in my club? Yes or no, and why?

The more bags of sand the better. Helps stop erosion on beaches.

Can just allow it, its not as bad as smurfing i guess. Besides, enforcing this is tricky as well

You mean sandbagging before joining the arena or during the arena?

If before joining the arena, no, because it gives you an unfair advantage, the pairings are usually rating-based and also, higher rated players might play differently against lower rated players to get quick wins, so the sandbagger can take advantage of this.

If during the arena, I don't think it's that bad, because it doesn't hurt anyone in an unrated arena...

I for one herby sign an decree that sandbagging should not be allowed.

I don't really no the context, but if the higher rated player feels bad for stomping/or for fairer matchmaking - I think there is a balanced game setting where the higher player starts with less pieces.

then i think that sandbagging should be not allowed in this group. it is cheating. that happened to me when in a tournament when someone was a 1200 in uscf rating and lost a bunch of games and got to 370 in uscf rating. when i was paired to him, i immidiatly lost

I don't think it should be allowed because its kinda just unfair
