Time Controls

How are time controls calculated? Now in the new 4pc, 30 seconds is hyper, but how is delay controls calculated? 6s|1 is bullet, but 6s|1D is hyper. What happened to the controls? 6s|1D used to be bullet. How are they calculated now as in how time controls are categorised into rapid blitz bullet and hyperbullet?

The time control parameters changed to discourage using a fast time control to farm a certain rating (e.g 6sec|1D was clearly not bullet as premoves were used every move starting from the beginning of the game; the one second of protection each move hardly qualifies it).

As with increment time controls, as long as players premove, they will be able to gain plenty of time and play without time trouble (in 6sec|3, there is almost no difference after 10-20 moves to 1|3 provided players premove regularly).

It's outdated now, that was 2 years before the merge happened...
