time limits in teams mode

One solution to the "more options = harder to make teams". Match everyone up for game as usual. But before first move, give option to every player to vote "yes/no" to change to slower game (e.g. 2 min + 30 sec delay). 5 seconds to cast vote for slower game. Unanimous (all 4 players choose "yes" within 5 seconds) = switch to slower time control. Non-unanimous = leave time at 1 min + 15 sec.
Getting a bit crazier: this could be continued auction-style: *if* a unanimous vote is reached for 2+30, a new vote could be offered, 5+30... and then again, a most-extreme version like 10+60 (available in cases where all 4 players have a *lot* of time and really want the deep-thinking experience). Such a system would essentially "bid up" the game to the slowest possible time controls that all 4 participants are comfortable with.
I'm noob at teams mode, just played 10-15 games, but i think that since the calculations are much more deeper than in FFA mode, you need more time than 1 minute with 15 seconds delay. what do you think?
