daveshacke and kokino, can you write again, names of all teams, which are registered till now :)

I suggest you check the group size numbers of those registered.. I know some are way over 250.

Also I think there needs to be another tournament created... there is one for 20-250 members, and then one for >250 members... with groups in that tournament that have memberships of 1000 right up to 3000, the groups that have only 250-1000 are left for dead.... one extreme to the other.. nothing in the middle.... no balance there... no way can any team less than 1000 members compete with a group that is 2000+ members.

Also I see Chess Nuts is still in the list... I did message Dave and asked him to remove us from this tournament as we are now larger than 250, so is our grand final opponent Slavic Pride.

Babs in the table on page one I think the teams that have no number of members entered I think they will be going over to the league but I agree we need a tournament that is inbetween.

Pls bear in mind that many groups with 500+ players has less than 25% active players - many had already left C.c, others play only live chess or vote chess, etc...

I clean up my group regularly, so my group size is small, but I have more active players!

The teams list on page 1 is not updated! For instance Learning for fun (mypost #37) is not in it!

Yeah my friend has registered his team in here and its not been updated so maybe Dave just needs to catch up

I disagree donna... I think this is a good place to discuss it as many teams I believe are not aware of the membership restrictions... overlooked... this will remind them.

Not much difference, but might be slightly better... but still 250-750 is great. Will cover the middle ground well. :)

And once it is decided what size the 3 tournaments will be Dave, I think a newspost should be sent in this group and in the TM League group so all admins are made aware in case some already have registered in the wrong tournament group.

I think fair enough babs but the restrictions should still be up to 250 because what chance does a team of <100 stand against a team 300-350?

I am happy with either Donna... big improvement to current situation for middle range group....

But don't forget groups that are 260 will face groups rated 730, for example in a 250-750 tournament.. which will have a lot more mismatches than a group <100 facing a group that is around 300. A difference of 470 members discrepancy in the former as opposed to 200 members discrepancy in the latter.

Maybe 350-750 is more ideal?

if only 3 tournaments, then 300-700 is good also... much better than current system.

I prefer 4 tournaments, to help more groups have more chance of fairer competition... may mean appointing a new admin to run each tournament, but I am sure dave and kokino could find willing and capable admins to do so.

I assume Manny checks this forum too regularly, hope so... dave, can you discuss with kokino... meanwhile, maybe we should all try to think of any admins that would be able to help dave and kokino and run the 2 extra tournaments, so not to increase their workload....

After the disaster that was season one for my team I did try to create my own tournament but lacked the know how to set it up but if was being guided by kokino and DaveShack I would gladly help out
