I'm thinking it will be hard to start matches around Christmas, so will plan to post the sections and instructions for challenges in late December with first challenges accepted on Jan 2.

Dave CSI (Chess Society of IRAN) has over 1000 members and has registred for this season. No one has complained so i might as well be the first o.O. They can not compete in this competition right?
Correct, that team is far too large.
Yes, TM League is one league for groups over 250. There is also Team Match International which is for groups over 250 who don't want to pair up against the 5000 member teams.

Team Match International is for teams 250-750 and is currently in registration for season 2 :)

There will be a (hopefully short) delay before the final team list, pairings and instructions are posted. My main PC is having issues so I can't work with the spreadsheets that organize the tourney.
OK, moving ahead on a different computer for now. Things might not look as nice posted from here as normal, but it should probably work out.
