Hi! I just started the beginner plan.

I hope I can improve my performance in the weeks to come, back to where I was a few years ago. I've never been constant at chess, that's my problem. tear

I hope I get into it this time and have something to enjoy during this summer. happy

1st week update

  • Daily: 1042 -7
  • Rapid: 942 -50
  • Puzzles: 1370 +533

So this week I've been doing lots of puzzles (more than 5/day).

I think the fall in rating is natural after 2 years of not playing. I expect it to rebound in the following 1/2 weeks.

The plan suggests playing blitz this week but I want to keep playing rapid games so as to stabilize the rating.

I've analyzed every game I've played. I spend a lot of time doing so but I enjoy it.

Instead of Chess.com Lessons I've watched Want to be 1500 in chess? by IM Levy Rozman (@GothamChess) and started the series Full CHESS Course from 640 to 2000 by GM Daniel Naroditsky (@danielnaroditsky).

Both very entertaining and enlightening.

I've always really enjoyed Naroditsky's speedrun courses. They are quick enjoyable.

Are you still working on improving your chess?

So far, he is my favorite chess content creator. Great teacher.

Yes, I'm still working on my chess. These weeks I didn't have much time to put in because of work & health.

Soon I'll post an update.

Thanks for stopping by. grin
