On move 12 what if black doesn't play ne5?

Does White have a dangerous follow up?

I guess the king will become to weak because the g or h pawn will have to come to 6 rank?

thanks aleks. Yes Without Ne5 I will just follow up with moves likeRf1 or Qe4. Blacks problem is that he has not many moves that are doing something. Ne5 is historisch best try to free his position.
