Good puzzle. I looked at it a long time, and couldn't see how white could really threaten black. In this exchange, white loses a pawn, so I've got to wonder... why not e5?
4...e5
5. Qa6+ Kc7
6. Bg3 Qxc2
...and so forth. Am I missing something? The e5 square is covered by both the black knight and the black queen, so white can't just capture that pawn.
you are right but remember there is the En peasant rule,4...e5 5.fxe5 and the pawn will go to e6 which will threaten the rook
Yes, you are right. The 5. fxe5 would crush black's defense.
