Trying longer time controls

I usually play 10|0 but wanted to try 30|0 because I want to play OTB in the future (If Maryland had anything? where are all the tournaments?). I felt as if I was still moving too fast, by move 20 I think I had only spent like 5 minutes

qxg6 is covered by the queen? if thats what you're talking about

yeh but that saves the bishop and prevents mate

there is no mate if white doesnt play bg2

On the USCF website you can look for clubs in your state to see if any are in your area. That would probably be a good way to start playing OTB. Also nice game!
