I guess it is different in San Francisco, I am an older guy, with plenty to do, yet on Saturday go to an un-USCF associated club, where we have one A rated kid (going up), mostly of 20-30 somethings and all ages. Strengths are OTB 1700 something for the majority peaking at three four master/expert level players on any given Saturday.

The random dude who just shows up who’s unrated and plays like a 2100
