I have it, but I still new to Linux and Ubuntu.

But for those who have it, what do you think about it?

The only thing I want to say about it is faster booting ROCKS!

elxan

I have installed from the first BETA. (upgrade, not new intall)

Very much faster than previous version, I recommend it,

I'm running beta now.  It's fantastic!  The AWN dock is much improved, and can be situated on any screen edge!

I been using 10.04 since the beta2 and it rocks!  It seems to be very stable, I like the new theme (except the wallpaper), I like the new music store, and it boots in 9 seconds on my ssd!

I really like the way ubuntu is heading. I think the small changes in this release will go a long way in the adoption of ubuntu. This release is really fun to use! If they keep up the good work apple and microsoft will really have somthing to fear!

Yeah, the wallpaper is to bright for my eyes and a bet for everyones'.  Also, I think Ubuntu is heading in the right way and I think the commuty will make a scare for Mircosoft and Apple.

Right now using in my new mini-notebook. Processor works slow  - atom 1.7 - in windows7 Frown but rocks in Lucid Lynx 10.04!Smile

Methinks, Linux runs under the Windows XP standards.

Maybe you just have bad luck with Ubuntu.

SteveM

anyone here ever tried Ultimate Edition?

SteveM

nulesus - you're opinion of Linux Mint is right on - it's quite dependable and useful.  I recommend it highly to anyone who asks.  I may switch back to it very soon, if only because it uses sun java as opposed to openjdk and the icedtea plugin.  These work now with most applications except the one I need for entering grades for school (weird thing - icedtea usually runs this app when I use sidux!)

Otherwise, regular Ubuntu really is great!

Sabayon is a great choice!  I have used and liked it!
