The 3rd most popular move. The plan is:
3. dxc6 Nxc6
There is also an offshoot I read about on the forums called the reversed Danish:
3. dxc6 e5
4.cxb7 Bxb7
2... e5
I belive this is called the Bohenke gambit. It is a fairly good idea. This is the "main line:
3.dxe6 e.p Bxe6
Also:
2... e6
This is my invention, but I belive it to be inferior. I have never played it. Play is similar to the Bohenke gambit, only in the Bohenke, if White does not recapture, Black gains a central pawn. In my creation (I call it the accelerated Icelandic!), Black gets none of this.
