Unix/Linux/Mac devs -- your feelings of US Chess Rating API emptiness are no more!

... or something like that. I have written a simple bash script that web-scrapes a player's current published supplement off of an alternate USCF rating lookup page. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'd note that there are ports of bash to Windows, but that the script (as shell scripts usually do) rely on other tools. I saw at least curl and grep.

I've not run the script or reviewed it, but at a glance it's neatly coded and may be useful to some. When I want UCSF ratings I'm usually working with several browser tabs open, so I'll stay with using the website directly I expect. It's nice to have options though!

A former colleague of mine said after I'd (mostly inadvertently) duplicated one of his tools: "Better to have too many tools than not enough tools."
