Welcome back to Weekend Hangman (WEH)! You will have 7 lives for this edition.
A reminder of the rules:
Guess a letter (lowercase) in the chess-related word or phrase. The number of letters will be provided as blank underscores: _. If the phrase is composed of multiple words, each word will be separated by: ~.
The letter that the majority guesses in each round will be the guess that counts. An Admin will come after at least 1 hour of guessing to finalize the guess and judge it.
You may also guess the entire word/phrase if you believe you know the answer.
Each wrong guess (both letters and answers) takes up a life. If you use up all of the club’s lives, you all lose - so, guess strategically. We recommend that you coordinate as a team!
Each correct letter you guess will be placed in the obscured phrase in every place that letter occurs.
POINTS: Every guess a player makes counts as a point...
Correct guesses count as points in your favor multiplied by the number of times that letter appears in the word/phrase. Each player who votes for the correct guess receives the points
An incorrect guess (letters & answers) counts as 1 negative point against you. Each player who voted incorrectly is subject to 1 point being docked from their end score.
3 points go to the FIRST person to correctly guess the word before all the letters are revealed.
2 bonus points go to the FIRST person to correctly decipher & explain the riddle hint!
