USCF ratings verses chess.com

I'ts pretty complicated-- a few years ago i played in an unrated tournament but some tech savy guy had written a program to dupliate the USCF rating system which i'm assumming is the same one used here on chess.com. and i know that's what they do on ICC. i'm guessing taht since it costs money to get the license adn you have to travel and take mornings or even days off to go play tournaments that the standard of play is probably slightly higher in USCF rated events. I'm pretty sure that the uscf web site describes the rating system.
I don'thave one, (USCF rating); however, it's been my impression that on-line ratings in general (even such agust locations as ICC) that ICC ratings lag on-line chess by 150 to 200 pts. Anybody here able to make the comparison?
