Untitled Tuesday time control

I don’t know, I feel like a 1 second increment is good enough to live on. If you are low on time in the endgame and winning, just premove a bit to gain some time. And plus, 1 second basically replenishes your lost time in a time scramble.

If you premove and make a blunder ur opponent can be winning just like that

I always get in time trouble with 3|2 too.

But we're mimicking Titled Tuesday.  They use 3|1.

It also makes cheating harder to do and easier to detect when it happens.

I always thought the time factor was an important part of blitz .

3/1  does me no favours either , but thats the way it is.

Its blitz, time pressure is a part of it and extending the increment dilutes it.

If you do safe premoves with your King when your opponent only has like a king and a pawn you should be fine.

A majority of the time people don't get into time pressure when ur opponent only has a queen and pawn.

3 min is good as flagging chances

3 1 does keep the spirit of blitz alive while making it possible for the player with an easily won game to win without flagging.

Unless it's me.  I lose easily-won games even in 3|2, since I'm just not fast enough.

3+1 is really short. For a 60-move game you only 4 minutes. And you 120 moves to reach the old 5+0 standard.

There is no reason that UTT has to mirror TT as the players are not of the same level. If you are an occasional player like me pre-move and mouse skills are worse (and there are not really chess skills).

3+2 for me.

If 3 1 is good enough for the best players on the planet, I won’t complain.

I do like 3/2 more then 3/1 but if Titled Tuesday uses 3/1. I guess it makes sense for us to use 3/1

I haven't been playing much lately, but I'll just add that I support 3-2
