v2 sunset

I saw some news about v2 sunset on 30th September.

I would appreciate if at least basic club matches resources are available prior the sunset as my previous version of tools are running on v2 screenscraping and I was not successful with development of v3, so I postponed it till API availability. So if v2 is down and club APIs not available, I would need to try screenscrap v3, which I wanted to avoid.

Thanks for your understanding and help :-)

Petr! Thanks for all your previous help identifying the endpoints we need to create to get all the data out there for fun projects like your leagues. This week I will publish a more complete roadmap and descriptions of the next endpoints, for comment. For people like you, we are dedicated to getting these new API endpoints highly functional, stable, and complete near the middle of September.

Thank you for your ongoing feedback. It has helped a lot.

We are after middle of Sept. Some of the APIs are ready, but the main one with club matches is not yet available. This can impact ie. my league webpages wcl.tode.cz. Will be club matches available by end of Sept or is there way to delay v2 sunset?

Unexpected technical issues had to be addressed (see the forum thread about pagination, among other things), and delayed the development of these new endpoints. I hope to publish an RFC today and get them created over the next few days. I promise you that even if we need to shut off web access to v2 soon, I have set things up in the background to keep the v2 server ready to respond to automated requests like yours for at least 2 weeks after the club matches endpoints are available.

Hi Petr, Ben,

Just joined to club as I am trying my teams (Argentina and Buenos Aires) to leverage the great work being done with the public APIs to recruit new members and monitor team matches. I think that current endpoints are a very good starting point already, but certainly, team match endpoints would help a lot to gather data like Petr is doing (terrific page, Petr!). I wonder if there are any updates on this thread, I could not find the RFC Ben is referring to.

Hope to contribute in the future, improving club management through information is a win-win situation.

Thanks,

Guillermo
