Variant Suggestion: Banishment Chess

(a.k.a. piece removal chess?)

It'd be just like standard chess, except instead of moving a piece, you can remove it if it's legal in the traditional way (i.e. it doesn't discover your check on your King and similar).

I found the idea here:

I'd REALLY like to have this variant available at least somewhere online, so if you know any site that hosts it (or a way I could make it), please do tell me.

Make a forum based correspondence game:

- Make an image of starting board and a palette with all pieces on different colours.
- Find a buddy.
- Make your first move by editing the starting board to the move you want to make and upload into a thread with your buddy.
- Keep updating the image of the board to represent moves being made.

Done - takes ages but you can play this way

Okay, that's a fair recommendation. I'll see if I can get something started through Reddit as well.
