Playing around with some sort of Atomic-Torpedo varient would be fun but I don't think it would generate enough players
The metas would change and bring some fun and newness to the game though

Ive played it in custom modes before and its interesting because if you take like the g pawn with your queen you get placeable your queen back and their pawn knight bishop and rook
Its a little unbalanced, even more of an auto win for white
I participated in a 960 atomic championship or whatever it was called. Simply chess 960 for atomic. It was a pain.

-Atomic: The original Atomic.
-Checky Atomic: Combine Atomic with Checkers.
-Explosive Magic: Getting to the hill is checkmate, pawns can advance 2 squares and pawns promote to a bishop, bishop, knight or dabbaba on the 9th rank and play with magic spells.
