What are the rules for the variant game "Saturn's Rings" and how do the "New" Pieces move? Where do I find this info? What are the names of these New pieces? I couldn't find this information so I am here. Perhaps an easier way of finding this intel is available, or should be. Thanks for any help given.

I have a question: are the staff members ACTIVELY not wanting to add new fairy chess pieces?

In 4 Player Chess Free-For-All a new players rating starts at 1500 and if they get 4th place in their first game their rating goes down by 50 to 80 points which is much more than what veteran players lose for 4th place. My question is can somebody change the rating system so it is more fair to new players? Can someone change the rating system so players under 1500 don't lose so many points when they lose a game?

Consider that their rating deviation is extremely high as a new player. If we simply made it so that rating change wasn't high when a player first starts, then it would be harder for players who win to get to their deserved rating level as well. Also note that high rated players who play many low-rated opponents also have a high rating deviation, and there have been many times where a 2500+ has lost 100+ points in one game.

Thank you for explaining why new players ratings go down by so much if they lose in their first games. I was hoping there would be a way to make it better for them so they wouldn't get discouraged too easily, and yes, I have lost 50 or more points in a game quite a number of times

So i tried a few games of Seirawan, which i find to be even more amazing than regular Chess, and noticed that when i tried to review my games sometime later, i could not for the life of me find them anywhere in my history? Is this me being poorly informed, browsing-inadequate or are these games not listed for review for some reason? Cheers!

why does the classical chess variant exist

Can I ask how the horse piece in tinyhouse works? Cause it is usually absolutely USELESS cause it can't even capture a piece AND often IT IS ABSOLUTELY IMMOBILIZED. Don't believe me? Play tinyhouse yourself. I hit 1600 in tinyhouse yet I still CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THAT PIECE WORKS!

Is there a plan to add regular tournaments (Arena and Swiss) to Variants?
Before the migration from the main server to Variants, there were eight Crazyhouse tournaments per day (4 Arena, 4 Swiss). Now? Zeeeee-roh.

That's a huge loss in functionality after the migration. Soooo: When will we see tournaments again?

Yes, Arenas are already available, though not as many as there used to be. I’m gathering more information on that.
Swiss format is currently being developed and will be offered soon.

I do not see any Crazyhouse Arenas in Variants. On the main server, there were four per day. Now, there are zero per day. That is a net loss of…(consults calculator) one hundred percent.
