wait, I have one more suggestion: promotion should be more flexible, we should be able to set promotion ranks or squares for each player, this would allow variants with odd number of ranks to have a balanced promotion
Variants Server Suggestions [Post-4PC Merge]

I was thinking some about the most natural alliances in 4 player FFA chess, how Ox is designed to break up those natural alliances, and what the most natural alliances in 6 player hexagonal FFA chess would be. In 4 player FFA chess it’s easier to attack a player on your flanks than it is to attack your opposite, and you’re opposite helps to quail the players on your flanks by attacking them, so in 4 player FFA chess alliances between players on opposite sides of the board tend to naturally form, which is why Ox multiplies the points you get from your opposite.
I was considering whether alliances between players on opposite sides of the board would be the most natural in 6 player hexagonal chess as well. Thinking about the board looking something like this
It would be harder for black and white to attack and be attacked by, red, yellow, green, and blue than it would be for them to attack each other, however it would also be easier for white to attack and be attacked by red and yellow than it would be for white to attack and be attacked by blue and green. Also while it would be harder for white to directly attack black than it would be for white to directly attack red and yellow, white could help blue attack black by attacking red so that red is less able to attack blue so that blue is more able to attack black, and similarly white could help green attack black by attacking yellow so that yellow is less able to attack green so that green is more able to attack black. Also green and blue would help quail red and yellow while black would help quail green and blue. So I don’t think in 6 player FFA hexagonal chess alliances would tend to naturally form between opposite players but instead, using the above illustration, an alliance would tend to naturally form between white, blue, and green, and another alliance would tend to naturally form between red, black, and yellow, so I think if 6 player Hexagonal FFA chess is added then instead of or in addition to an option for an opposite multiplier there should be something that multiplies the points when white, blue, and green capture each other, or when red, black and yellow capture each other.

Oh no, I don't know how to fix that one.
Thanks everyone for suggestions! I like them all and will see what I can do!
Don't worry, it's an extinct creature
6 player chaturaji sounds nice
We could simply call that "Sexturaji," and for that we could use hexagonal squares.

I could change the board sizes for the WoFs listed when I have some time to do so. NCVs are a bit trickier because changing the board size would also disable the rating used as the server perceives it as different, and that requires an entirely new feature to be programmed in by a developer

I swear I changed it 12 hours ago, see the test game I played right after to confirm:
https://www.chess.com/variants/game/71287299
@ChessMasterGS I also updated the database right after, so next time there will be the right board size too.

I think changing the board size would be nice. If hexagonal 6 player chess is added I could draw blueprints for what the standard set up could look like.
Suggestion: Jump spell should work with Maos/Xiangqi horses, like in the following game:

The rating system should hand rating gains, rather than losses, to a player 1500 or lower who finishes second even if 2nd place is supposed to be penalized. I think that the way it is right now allows stronger players to manipulate the system:

It would be great to see some more historic variants here, like Tamerlane, Shogi (regular, and midsize Chu shogi), and the Spanish Grant Acedrex.
Also, how about a different image for the Man (a fairy piece that moves like a king), so there'll be no confusion with the king in variants that implement this piece, like the Courier chess for example?
