Suggestion: Players that have a variant rating with a Glicko RD above a certain threshold (like, 100) will have the rating marked with a (?) and be excluded from the corresponding variant's leaderboards.
I suggest that the "Username" bar not be mandatory for Game search like all other parameters. Unless I'm mistaken, such a change should not have much effect on the engine, because it has to filter for one specific player already. It would also allow me to find the games I want without knowing who the players were.
Can you update the variants servers to match the regular chess servers?
Currently, there is an option to promote pawns to 1-point queens. To my knowledge, that is the only 1-point promotion option available. Could there be a way to have a switch in the “mix and match” panel that (when flipped on) simply makes all promotions be 1 point, regardless of what they are? I’d like to make an FFA custom variant with promotion to 1-point chancellors and archbishops, but that’s not an option right now.

Suggestion: Jump spell should work with Maos/Xiangqi horses, like in the following game:

And the dragon bishop. The fact that a Xiangqi horse can't use the jump spell to jump over an obstacle feels targeted.
