My last 3 team games have seen me paired with complete bonafide a-holes!  They wouldn't communicate, help out or wrote in some tribal language I couldn't make out without Wonder Woman's help.  What part of teammate don't they understand?!  I'm tethering on suggesting a sub-selection for one to pick English or International, where English would be (USA, AUS, CAN, UK and NZ) and the rest of the country be listed as International.  At least there one can communicate equally, yell at their quiet teammate to play, wake up, etc or at least know that they understand you!  Am I pissed?, oh I'm livid! evil.png

I agree you should at least get a teammate who will talk to you.

Thank you too, upping this to a suggestion.

My 5th game again it happen, this time I carried the team and won with NO help from my so-called "teammate."  If chess.com is suppose to be about having fun, this issue of language barrier has to be addressed!

The really was me in disbelief that he/she drops a Rook down a file and stops a square short of capturing an opposing Pawn that was advancing.  (Mind you the pawn had no opposing piece defending it.)

Proof to the pudding:

For a teammate to want to communicate in their language is beyond absurd!

you were just annoying so people don't even want to reply. i don't reply when people write such obvious and useless comments during the game - like "MOVE!", "play", "really?", ...

language pairings, however, make it unfair for people speaking less known language. your suggestion presumes that "International" players all speak some sort of "International" language that they all understand and poor english-only speaking people have troubles understanding it. chess should be game of equality for all players, with no difference who they are, where they come from and what language they speak.

if your teammate is a good player, he/she will do right thing without having conversation with you.

if you have some sort of idea, use chess notation and you will need no language(s). rest is usually just a spam.

Thats what arrows are supposed to help with. They should be made more prominence to fix most of these issues

Unless you didn't witness the game: pipe down!  The move was because he/she was letting their clock run down and I'd be damned if I'd lose another 4PC team game due to my "teammate" running their clock down intentionally or intentionally but thanks for the .05 input when I want such random input I'll beat it out of someone!

yo dude, your pipe is hollar’n throughout this thread.. They are attempting to bring to your attention you are diving too much with carrying on such chat as if because your claim of what you’re experiencing is becoming more apparent to make manifest on you more anger to only continue such type chat getting nowhere. I suggest ease off chat attacking others and recognizing it.

of course it was relevant - i pointed out that many of your partners just didn't want to reply, rather than didn't understand you. just think this way - player who doesn't want to play WON'T change his/her mind if you keep sending him/her angry messages. also, player who's thinking about his/her next move won't make a good move if you keep spamming his/her chat with useless messages

With 2 moves away from mating and carrying the team, my so called teammate let's the clock run down, FML, SMH
