It was a very nice positional game and the only actual mistake i found was me not taking the pawn on b7 because i forgot my rook was defended already.

"I forgot" doesn't work in chess. There are only 64 squares and upto 32 pieces. They're right in front of your eyes. You didn't forget, you ignored it. There's no forgetting in chess (unless you forget how a piece moves, a pawn takes, how to castle queen side etc). That's just being lazy.

No no, it very much does work in chess. I was playing fast during the endgame because I knew I was significantly better so when his king stepped up I assumed my piece was attacked and forgot my knight was defending. When you are processing move and information as much as I do in a game you occasionally miss things like that. When you get up to a certain level you will understand. Forgetting isn't an excuse for making a mistake but it is an acceptable response and that's where you went wrong.

ChessGamblerthatucantbeat

this is a very good game but you could of promoted in a better way and checkmate would be way faster.

I can eat something and then forget what I just ate even though it happened five seconds ago, I’m sure you can forget something in chess.

Jack is right idk why OP was being so extra at the end. If he said 2+2 is 4 would you say the same?

Just to simplify faster. I'd rather not have rooks on the board at the end

I mean unless you’re premove battling, on move 54 you can just queen and be a rook up at the end, where you can then premove the rest of the game anyways

You can entirely forget something.
