Hello Chess.com Community. I'm @KingOfBrilliancy. I'll be talking about the famous Chess.com troll that's been going on nowadays, also known as "Viroh". I'll be covering some topics about him.

NOTES:
Mods, feel free to lock this forum. Though if Viroh changes tactics, I won't be able to help again.
I can't share screenshots of what he's doing, as mods will delete it. DM me instead if you want to see.

1. Who is Viroh, and what he's doing?

Viroh is a serial abuser, and his reports are baseless. He is also racist, and a harasser. He goes down by the name "Julius Laitinen". He has created over 100+ accounts on chess.com. When he gets banned, every time he comes back with a VPN, and a disposable email, to bypass all restrictions. I've also heard that he's a hacker, he knows things that I didn't even share! Anyways, it looks like he won't stop trolling until Chess.com does something big to stop these trolls. These trolls are affecting genuine players like me. After I stood up to him, he was saying TERRIBLE things about me. He also impersonated me once, and called me a t*rrorist before. If you stand up to him just like I did, the same thing will happen to you.

2. How to spot Viroh:

There are many ways to suspect someone if he's Viroh. Viroh does some things that only he does.

1. If the account is made the day you're in.
2. If he joins clubs out of nowhere.
3. If he says that this is my second account and my second account got banned (impersonating basically). Though there are genuine ways to tell if that's not Viroh. You can ask the person if you know them outside of Chess.com.
4. The way he talks is that he Capitalizes the first letter of the first word, and then does EVERYTHING in small (this is his way of typing). For example: "I am in europe not usa."
5. If his account is very new and talks rudely. You'll know that this is 100% Viroh.
6. Those are very important factors to tell if he's Viroh.

3. How to defend yourself:

1. Ignore the trolls. Once you suspect Viroh, just GET AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD.
2. Just act like you know nothing. If you're already Viroh's biggest enemy (yes I'm his greatest enemy FYI), and he talks rudely about you, act like you know nothing. Be offline, or play games, solve puzzles, do something instead of being on Chess.com for no reason. You can also screenshot his messages if you want.
3. Do NOT trust accounts newer than a week. Just don't!
4. You can report to mods about this person. I'm always contacting @Staerex, the best mod on chess.com, in PRIVATE LIVE CHAT. People take much longer to respond in messages, so report this account with the link of the username. If his username is similar to your username, send the URL link to the username. Mods will close that account. That's what I did with @KlNGOfBrilliancy and @KingOfBriIIiancy.

4. The Three Sides of Viroh:

Viroh has 3 sides to his plans. As if it was 3 people trolling.

The first side of Viroh is the most common one: The Abuser. He will abuse and curse a lot when his account is new. He will say disgusting things about you, and tell people to report and ban you for doing something that you never did. Often times he will also edit what you said, so be careful. That's the WHOLE POINT of this forum: Exposing this troll.

The second side of Viroh is also common: The Spammer. He will make a new account, and spam A LOT in the live chat. He will also make s*xist posts.

The third side of Viroh which is the least common, but began spreading nowadays: The Impersonater. He will make a new account, and try to act like he's not Viroh. He is like the silent killer, where he enters your club and spy on you.

5. Q&A:

Q1: When will Chess.com do something serious about it?
A1: To be honest, I'm not sure.. I think Chess.com needs to take more action.

Q2: When did Viroh start?
A2: Viroh's first ever account was from Dec 2019. He began trolling in Feb 2024.

Q3: Are Viroh and Xumi (look that up) the same person?
A3: I don't think so. They act very differently.

Wow. This is definitely the truth about viroh. I'll stop chatting sometimes when I see accounts a few hours old to be safe, so I'll be quiet for sometime.
