An opening doesn't affect your ability to come back from a losing position or throw a winning position, it gets you into said winning or losing position and the rest is up to your skill. you are just handicapping yourself with this 'special' variation. This is like me playing the bongcloud in rated games and wondering why I couldn't recover from tilt past 1900.

i mean the opening itself is actually not as hated by the engine as some openings i play lol
there's two differences though
one is that my openings are hard to refute while with yours the opponent can play literally anything and be better
the second is that I'm GOOD at playing my specialty positions, while you are TRASH at playing your "patented" viznik variation

this viznik variation is +1.5 but you're getting yourself into +7 and +8 positions within 10-15 moves
if you played it remotely well you'd be getting not the greatest positions, true, but certainly better than the trash you get every single time you play it lmao

First i would like to start this address by apologizing ... to ABSOLUTELY NOBODY. WHO SAID THE VIZNIK VARIATION ISN'T GOATED? WHO SAID IT?!? The Viznik Variation (Full name: Scandinavian Defense: Viznik Variation / SDVV, also Scandinavian Defense: Viznik Variation Accepted : 1. e4, d5 2. exd5, Qxd5 3. Nc3, Qe6+ 4. Qe2, Qxe2+ / or also the SDVV Declined: 1. e4, d5 2. exd5, Qxd5 3. Nc3, Qe6+ 4. Be2, b6 5. Nf3, Ba6 6. O-O, Bxe2)
Let's get it out of the way; The Viznik Variation (SDVV) has haters. Unfortunately for them, the SDVV has Bobby Fischer on its side, as evident by a startling checkmate pattern win in a losing position after blundering my rook. Of course, if you blunder a piece, it's hardly the SDVV's fault. Regardless, the SHEER POWER of the SDVV proves TIME AND TIME AGAIN to be a menacing force that opponent's struggle to understand and defend against, and even after a blunder and a losing position, can easily up and lose the game with a single misstep.
Today, Martin did his best to diminish my dreams of reaching 1300 by disconnecting me from not one, but two rapid games back to back. My internet is fine, but Martin saw I was nearing 1300 and DC'd me from the servers, and cost me 20+ ELO. No matter, as I said to my friends in Beginners & Masters, I will win those 20 ELO points back with none other than the Viznik Variation.
No! You Shall Not! The cries were endless. Mockery, heathen cries for me to not indulge in the Viznik Variation. Surely, the cries of the peasants that waned from the city halls of B&M like dying swans in a pond, would disavow my wish of playing the Viznik Variation, right? Of course not. Not by the hand of God shall the SDVV become a thing of the past, rather a thing of the future.
The first game after Martin's deceit comes with the SDVV Declined, actually my favorite version of the Viznik Variation because I just know white thinks he's special and winning, UNTIL 5. Ba6.
Now, from the above game we can see an interesting development in the SDVV, that being the G-Line. Oh my GAWD, the G-Line is amazing. You want to attack my queen? Bully my princess? FINE BRO. Do it. I'll just move it to g6 and auto-win. TF?
The next game we look at is another SDVV Declined, but this time with Ne2. Ne2 is such a stupid move and makes me laugh, it traps your bishop in and makes me the bully. I want to bully you so bad when I see Ne2, and with Ba6 I bully you.
However, I wasn't really paying attention this game, rather talking mad smack with the boys so I ended up blundering my rook. This ended up being a GREAT thing for the Viznik Variation, as I was able to solidify the G-line of the SDVV Declined and show just how goated the Viznik Variation can be, even in a losing position
