English it is then. Jolly good not Bollywood.
I'm a fan of the London System or the Italian Game (with the option for the aggressive Evans Gambit when applicable). Both of these provide very solid structures and many opportunities in my opinion.
@ethanlin1121 brilliant work!
I'm a fan of the the Italian Game when playing with the white pieces and the French defense as Black
I'm an e4 player as white and a (boring) e5 player as black. I want to learn the Sicilian Defence (1.e4 c5) as black since there are a lot of variations to learn, which is why they call it the "Sicilian Jungle". I also like the Budapest Gambit as black since there are a lot of traps to crush my opponent.
Hi everyone! Just to let you know I have just started a open seek vote chess game and we're currently waiting for someone to respond. I know that all of you have different styles of openings but I play the English here's why.
Normally in open English you're trading a c pawn for a d pawn which is better. The bishop has a square on d3 or e2 to protect the kingside. Queen is awesome on c2. a1 rook can swing to d1 while f1 rook(after castles) can go over to e1. With these reasons i believe that we should play the English opening
Reminder: IMPORTANT
Please discuss why you play a move before you vote it so that way we know why
Have a good day!
