Ok,  I'm 57 and don't have all day!  Oh yeah, that's right,  I run a full time chess company!  I do have all day?!  It's time to pick openings!  Remember that match and vote chess are supposed to be theoretical works!  What we suggest, recommend, and play is meant to be seen by every person of African Descent that plays chess!

If we are to make a name for ourselves in Match. Vote, and Real World play, we have to let everyone know what we play.  Then, we make sure we are invincible or play something else!  After we have learned 4 or 5 openings for each response, no one will be able to adequately prepare for us, and we have a record for new members to learn from.  This means being at our best!  After a while, we could just beat people with our own notes!!!

My expertise, (lines in which I have unpublished, "Theoretical Novelties") are; The Philidor, Old Indian, Philidor in Reverse, Pirc, Benko, Kings Gambit Declined (2...Bc5!?), and The Petroff!  I also take interest gambits of any kind, The Queens Gambit Exchange, Queens Gambit Accepted, The London, The Trompowski Attack, and the Alekhine.

We need to pick 2 responses to 1.) e2-e4, 1.) d2-d4, and 1.) g1-f3.  Black 1st then White.  What will we play as White?  You'll have to tell me.  We can pick 2 of the 3. all of them would be too much work as I expect you would want me in the games.  I also hate the Sicilian

I think the proper order is vote chess and matches.  Once we become good as a group at any opening, we can handle and make favorable transpositions from our thoughts and our notes!  match play without vote chess would be a lot slower.

I'm going to have us in a match or vote chess game within the next 7 days.  Please tell me your preferences asap!

Thanks,

Coach Mike C

yes... I have an affinity for black d2 ....Nf3 yes that one!

I am not a big fan of vote chess. I do play sometimes though. I prefer matches.

beehivehairdo

I like both...vote chess is more team oriented..like basketball and football...matches well you can do those without being on a team..Like tennis matches. Vote chess requires commentary some dialogue...Human interaction syncronization hopefully..

beehivehairdo

I think what I'm trying to say is theres an animated way for an alliance between ourselves here.

Keishaeboni

I'm down.

beehivehairdo

I'm not going to pout either way just let me play...

You aren't getting off that easy!!?  This was how I answered the question, these are the types of answers I'm looking for; "My expertise, (lines in which I have unpublished, "Theoretical Novelties") are; The Philidor, Old Indian, Philidor in Reverse, Pirc, Benko, Kings Gambit Declined (2...Bc5!?), and The Petroff!  I also take interest in gambits of any kind, The Queens Gambit Exchange, Queens Gambit Accepted, The London, The Trompowski Attack, and the Alekhine."

To start, we need a white squared system, (French, English etc), a dark squared system, (Pirc, or d2-d4) and a multi squared system, (Queens Gambit Declined, Double Fianchetto), system for White and Black that we are all willing to train on and become good at!  The world and our future members are watching!!

What do you want to be better at? How can you help with what you already know, what should we do that's best for the future of the success of this group?  I want to win every time!  I want us to become feared theoreticians and players!

By the way there is no such move for black as ...d2.  ...Nf3 is not an opening?!

beehivehairdo

hahaha ok...

beehivehairdo

So... I like thr Pirc harmonist or the Pirc lion lock jaw thats my preference..I'll get you the rest for the white sides opening 😁

beehivehairdo

oops! Not lockjaw just lion jaw

beehivehairdo

Hello Keishaeboni..pleased to meet you!

@Coach I study Guiocco Piano 🎹...It's in fact an Italian opening...meaning a "quiet game." I like its subties ...it has a rather feminine mystigue... 1)e4-e5. 2)Nf3....Nc6 3)Bc4-Bc5

Another opening is ofcourse the Vienna Game...variations include anderssen defense and Falkbeer ...

so... in vote chess activity is so sloooow...but I take screenshots play by play. My question is how do I reference a database for the best hypothetical move...When does the EOC come into play and when I need to use it.

beehivehairdo

When I make moves in chess.com what do those codes represent? like A0 or BO2 C06 (example)

beehivehairdo

Oh yeah...time seems to play a significant role...and because I'm awkward to some degree under pressure the blunders and mistakes are more prevalent... In vote chess its more of a positional approach...yet in my live matches I can't control the center of board..I end up doing the Action Jackson/reaction...then it becomes bowling and there's no more strategy...it's time and pressure that intimidates before tactics position and strategy prevails...

beehivehairdo

I was also wondering does it reveal how seasoned players are when some chess boards don't have algebraic notation..the pieces just magically hop skip or slide across the board..Is it repetition or just expertise that the notation is not needed.

beehivehairdo

One of the members are strictly principles...while another is srticly intuitive...I would expect that Im more intuitive...some say its trial and error...but it can't be..always..I biggest challenge is knowing how my opponent thinks what openings to recognize and how to counter attack..

beehivehairdo

When do you know what stage your in? Meaning leaving the beginning entering the middle..What's the best Chess book you recommend?
