That's a lot, but here we go!  Those letters and numbers are, "ECO Codes".  The Philidor is C41,  The Pirc is B07.  Openings Explorer is a database!  Your chess program has a data base.  The only thing you are not allowed to use is the thinking parts of a computer or outside advice.

The best way to learn any opening is to start with the classical line of that opening.  You should study the accepted lines of any gambit before you study the declined lines of that gambit.

Each opening has branch points that will send you off into either a tactical, strategic, or need for redevelopment middlegame.  The easiest way to tell the ending is approaching is that it's safe for your king to come out!

If you want to know more about controlling the center, you will need to study some gambits, and watch more whole games in the openings you play.  That will help you recognize the transitions to the different parts of the game.  Studying whole games will also improve your transpositions as well.

So far I have the Pirc, The Vienna Game, The Faulkbeer, The Piano, The Evans Gambit, and The Anderssen openings.

I'll mention what we have so far in the notes and keep waiting for more people to chime in!  hope this was helpful.

It was mentioned that chess..com says you can do outside research.. I won't if its unethical

As a former correspondence and as an avid e game player.  If it's been played and it's in print it's legal!!  By picking the openings we want to get good at as a group, we strengthen our database and keep learning new openings to keep ahead of the competition!  If you want to win, it's best you be listening to your team to learn the sport of e chess, then go into matches, or both.

We have to offer challenges because all our play has to give us winning chances.  We have only 2 master of any kind, and 5 experts.  All of our tournaments must be for 5-7 days to accommodate for the learning curve and for chess to get some quality time.  I've had as many as 5 boards set up at a time.  Alekhine said, "you  should have 2 boards out at a time just to watch a game!".

All of our tournaments must be thematic and have rating guidelines as much as possible to learn the fastest.  What we have to say in our notes to each move whether it the question or the answer is what will give us an edge.

This is what I mean by us all getting on the same page!  Here's just one of the many secrets I use to make chess easier!  By easier, I mean easier to win!!.  Go to "King Philidor Teaches Chess", on You Tube.  Once you subscribe, it will put the videos in order!  They are 7- 15 minutes each and you don't need a board!  Watch them and then give your feedback good or bad!  If you do that in the notes, I'll publish news and forums that teach how to use what you learned from the videos!  We got a deal!?

P.S Grab a snack, you'll need it after the 3rd video to replenish your energy!!

I'm flexible about openings...choose what others feel comfortable with. Its all learning for me .

I prefer 1.e4 as White and usually head for a Vienna if given the chance.  I am interested in studying 1.c4. I answer 1...Nf6 to 1.d4 and usually head for a Nimzo-Indian, Two Knights Tango or Old Indian. Answer 1.c4 with 1...e5 and often 2...d6. Answer 1.e4 with 1....e5 though sometimes 1...Nc6 and 1...d6.

Let's not have another Vienna or Pirc... So soon...Let's try something new...and yes I like checks and captures but you won't say what the black white black white white black black white defines...

I'm feeling greedy! Let's get rock solid and master all of these!!!

I just looked up the opening I play the most with white. It's called the Ruy Lopez Opening. With black, I just normally play based off how white plays.

w, b, w, b, w is simply the shortest length a combination can be.  A move for white, a move for black, a move for white, a move for black, and a move for white.  The shortest length of a combination is 2.5 moves.  Anything less is just your opponent blundering and you cleaning it up!  Your opponent has black and makes a mistake.  You make a move that exposes that mistake, your opponent plays their best but losing response and then you clean up is not a combination!! That would be a w, b, w.  A smothered mate of 1. Qd4 Kh1 2. Nf7 Kg1 3. Nh6 Kh1 4. Qg1 Rg1 5. Nf7# is a w, b, w, b, w, b, w, b, w!!
