Lower it.....
VOTE.
Heck i say raise it to infinity ahahha, i mean what would u do if i set the limit to 50, before alot of you would have joined. That would have meant that you would never be here in this discussion in the first place. So...what im trying to say is that you pick up more and more good/cool/fun people over time, So if we capped it now, we would be stuck with the people we have (no offence at all, i love you guys/gals) and not even have the opotunity to get more exciting people...see what i mean.
So ive come to another possible Idea...and its good one ^^
I say...instead of having a CAP, where we have a limit of new people who can join over the ones already here....we shoul instead have monthly clear outs, clear outs being getting rid of all the old/untalkative/boring members. That way we can continue to get new people in...and also at the same time not have the group get any bigger..cause we will be getting rid of the old accounts that are no longer active....
So what u guys think of this idea?
(this has been posted in 2 places, as i started typing it in the forums...and thought ild move to the notice board)

I see what you mean St_Jonathan... Maybe the "CAP" should NOT be a DEFINITE limit, BUT one that would let people join, (In moderation)...

Well, I'll give you my perspective as a new member. I'm glad the cap was not 100 members or I wouldn't have been able to join, I think I was number 101. When browsing the groups this one jumped out at me as one that shares my interests. I didn't see any other similar groups in the limited looking around I did. During my free time if I'm not playing chess online here I'm mostly likely gaming, either board games or video games.
That being said I do like the idea of limiting the group to a certain number so that everyone can maintain some familiarity with a large portion of the other members. The hard part is deciding what that cap should be, I tend to lean towards the smaller number. I also agree that people who aren’t active on the site anymore should be removed from the group, but I don’t know how easy that is to tell for a group leader. Well that’s it from me for now. I look forward to taking some of you on in the near future when I finish up some games.
1. The LESS active members are staying in the Group...
2. The CAP is somewhere between 125-150, right now.
3. The CAP is not a DEFINITE limit, but it is a point where we moderate the traffic.

As you may have heard or seen, we are going to be having a VOTE on whether or not we should have a CAP on our Group, (the reason why we need one is in the GROUP NOTES.) We will VOTE on THREE things:
1. Should we have a CAP?
2. IF #1 IS passed, what will our Group's CAP be? (Example: 175)
3. Can we change the CAP by either getting rid of it, raising it, or lowering it?
Please VOTE by saying YES or NO to each of the THREE and the reasons why you chose what you chose. NOTE: You do NOT have to vote if you do NOT want to.

well (this is the leader here just to all you guys that dont already know) im just very glad that everyone is talking and communicating about this issue..and also the fact that everyone is listening to eachother and coming up with their own ideas, nice work everyone
And back to the issue.....im happy with ADK's decisions about this one, so if everyone else is also ild be happy to start looking at old/unused accounts and start sorting through them to make room for some new, active members to Anime all the way!
