Voyager 1 has crossed the 15 Billion mile mark!
It must be the time of year where Earth is moving around the sun away from the probe, since it seems to have accelerated (a few weeks ago it was only going about 15 miles a second away from Earth, now it's at least 22-25 miles/seconds according to the live data.
Happy 46th Anniversary of the launch of the Voyager 1 space probe on September 5th, 1977. Here's a live tracker that shows the speed, elapsed time, and distance from Earth in real time:
