Waking Dormant Members of FVF

Joe, it would be useful to share this task & so we don't duplicate messages to members, this is where we can maintain the list of members who've been contacted already. Please use your own wording but if you prefer, I'll post a suggested 'template'.

I'm one of the SA's of Fantastic Voting Fanatics (FVF) & I notice you haven't been active in any of our games for some time. FVF is a successful Vote Chess group with an excellent team spirit & I don't think you'll find many better places to play vote chess.
So please try to become more involved in the group's games - I think you'll find it rewarding.

We have 20 members, of whom 11 are signed up for our two current matches.

Of the 11, tastendrueker and i-ck-e have hardly participated in discussions for the current games (from memory) but I suggest we leave them for now.

Of the 9 who are not signed up for the current games, one is founder member Phoenix Arisen, who probably deserves to be left alone, thought I'll leave that to you. Another is CP6033 who is not currently participating but has been a rock in the recent past. It would be nice to think that we can call on him when we really need him, so I suggest we leave him, or send him a different message asking whether we could still call on him at times of crisis.

That leaves 7, of whom you have already contacted karangtarunasemarang, leaving 6. 

Of the 6, three (joaolima39, Mr Tilly, Abhishek2) I don't remember ever participating. I will contact these if you like.

Of the remaining 3,  isaacthebird and Chicken_Monster I remember being slightly involved a long time ago. Again I will message these if you like.

The last one is xarxziux, whom we invited to join quite recently at dd's suggestion. I think I was the one who corresponded with him and persuaded him. I think he did say he wouldn't have much time but would help when he could. Probably I would let things lie there. Maybe treat him similarly to cp6033 i.e. ask him to help when we have a particularly tough position to analyse. It would certainly be a little awkward for me to send him a standard message.

I think your template is fine. Probably I would change the last bit to "...please sign up for the team's current games..." and post the links.

Thanks, that would help a lot but if you message joaolima39, Mr Tilly & Abhishek2, then I'll do the other two & give Andy a free ride for now. It'll be good to shuffle the non-participating members out of the group.

By 'non-participating' I mean any member who hasn't even joined one of our games in the last year. If someone takes enough interest in the group to log the occasional vote, then I say let them stay but members who can't even do that, don't really belong in the group.
