This is extremely annoying. I've been posting about it on the forums, and a mod said that they are working on it - hope it will be fixed soon.
Warning: Chat bans for regular bughouse communication
this makes playing bug impossible
I mean you'll have to find a way to communicated with them through a vc call or something but yeah you can't chat, which makes things really annoying. It's so much easier to just click the symbols in the chat and say need diags than have to say, " no stalling, no heavys, need diags to defend." This is definitely an issue that needs to be fixed.
That works fine if both players speak the same language. If they don't, "no stalling, no heavies, need diags to defend" means nothing to them, and will further hamper them because they'll spend their time translating instead of playing.

It was relayed to me that Chuck Moulton believes the fix may take weeks. This contradicts what I was told by ZaneB, "It's consider a top priority fix so I imagine that they should be able to rollout a hotfix soon. " ... But Chuck's estimate is likely more accurate.
In the past, Erik has told me directly, "bughouse is not a priority" of chess.com ... so ...combining the "new 'abuse' detection system" ... (when they ignore direct, and clear admissions of cheaters) ... and the insistence on the new platform ("play") which is bughouse UNfriendly ... I think it's time to go back to ICC.

I have already been banned for this, after just normal bug communication. Sometimes it is hard not to hit the button twice... I am constantly muted or banned.

This is a GREAT example!
After the last game in a Swiss, I typed "Thanks partner"
And then "ggs".
So that got me muted, LOFL.

Yep, I reported the problem last week and a tech worker told me that they’re working on it as well

"Working on it."
That's encouraging.
I mean, I told my wife I was "working on" cleaning the gutters. She keeps bugging me. I told her I'll get to it—and I will. Jeez Loueez, I told her that in February, April, July…
With the new "abuse" detection system, rapid communication will lead to warnings and mutes, which prevent us from saying things like "Pawn mates (Pawn + #)" or "Rook or Knight good". Tell your partner two things in a row once, you get a warning. Tell them two things in a row twice, you get muted for an hour, preventing you from relaying crucial information and putting you at a severe disadvantage.
Until they fix this, I recommend a couple courses of action:
1. If you know your partner prior to the game, set up voice chat to avoid in-game chat.
2. If you get a warning about "community guidelines", log off for an hour so you don't get muted mid-game.
3. Submit support tickets each time you get muted until they fix this, as it pretty much breaks bughouse until they resolve it. If they don't hear about it often enough, site admins and programmers will dismiss or ignore it, like they have the crazyhouse threefold repetition bug that has been in place for well over a year..
